Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala listed in Forbes’ 83rd Most Powerful Woman in the World 2013

In the just release list of the most powerful women in the world, released by Forbes on Wednesday, 22nd May 2013 displays the name of Nigeria’s Minister of Finance, sitting at the 83rd position. 
Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, 58, who attended the prestigious Harvard University, moved down two steps from the 81st to the 83rd position.
Other Africans who made the list include Malawian President Joyce Banda, who occupies the 47th position, 24 steps above the 71st position that she was last year. The president of Liberia, Ellen Johnson-Sirleaf also stays at the 87th position.
On the international level, Angela Merkel, a German chancellor and a member of the 27-member European Union retains the number one slot.
Dilma Rousseff (President of Brazil), Melinda Gates (Cochair, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation),Michelle Obama (FLOTUS – First Lady of the United States) and Hilary Clinton round up the first five list. Ranking 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th respectively.
